Hi everyone!!!!!
Today I going to talk about an article relating to an exhibition called “Facing
the Modern: The portrait in Vienna 1900”. This exhibition stays in the National
Gallery (London) since October 9 until January 12.
This exhibition it’s about the portrait done for renowned artists like Anton Romako,
Egon Schiele, Arnold Schonberg, Gustav Klimt, Broncia Koller, Isadore Kaufmann, Morizt Schroth, Oskar Kokoschka and Teresa Feodorowna Ries. All this paintings are rich in different formals aspects of paintings, like the different Brush-strokes, the perspective or the different colors used for the variety of
artist presents in the exhibition. In the exhibition we can found to death mask,
like the Death mask of Gustave Klimt, created for Moriz Schroth in 1918.
This striking exhibition showing the modern art portraits created in the 20
century for important artist of the period, but showing to the portrait of the
city, of the society in this time, we can see daily scenes (like the paintings
of Anton Romako) and other more confused and perturbed like the painting
of Klimt or Schiele.
